This 90 minute restorative practice combines Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra for a deeply healing and introspective experience. Yin Yoga is slow with long held postures, giving the practitioner an opportunity to rest and look inward. Within these postures the breath flourishes and a new alignment is encouraged throughout the connective tissue, fascia, nervous system and emotional body.
Yoga Nidra occurs in the liminal space between awake and sleep, conscious and unconscious. To encounter this space is to enter into fertile territory. Through yoga nidra, or “yogic sleep” we find the place where our mind and body are both resting yet alert, fluid yet still and open to that which we wish to manifest. Guided through visualizations and sensory practices to invoke relaxation and healing in the whole being; mind, body and spirit. This class is open to those who are new to yoga as well as those who have an experienced practice.
